Amongst the items of communion plate donated to St Mary's is a silver chalice which bears a coat of arms, beneath which is an inscription: 'The Gift of Sr Nathan Wright late Lord Keeper of the Great Seal of England, 1718'. He also donated a silver paten, bearing the same hallmarks.

Sir Nathan was born in Thurcaston in 1653, and when the office of Lord Chancellorship became vacant in 1700, the position was eventually offered to him and the great seal was given with the title of Lord Keeper, by King William III. He remained Keeper until 1705, when he retired to his property at Caldecote, Warwickshire.
The church also possesses 2 silver flagons, one of which was bought by parishioners in 1851 at a cost of £10. The insciptions on these are "Gloria in Excelsis des pax" and "In memory of Elsie and Walter Charles"
